From June 13–15, the 13th China (Beijing) International Industrial Automation Exhibition (AIAE 2017), jointly organized by the Beijing Society of Mechanical Engineering, the China Electromechanical Products Circulation Association, and the Asia Intelligent Manufacturing Association, successfully concluded at the China International Exhibition Center (Sanyuanqiao Pavilion). As a pioneer in stereo intelligent vision, Beijing Vizum Technology Co., Ltd. showcased a range of its innovative products, drawing attention from visitors worldwide with its cutting-edge stereo intelligent vision technologies.
Now in its 13th year, AIAE is one of the most influential exhibitions in the industrial intelligence sector. This year’s event brought together top domestic and international companies, research institutions, academic organizations, and investment firms to demonstrate the latest in intelligent manufacturing technologies, equipment, and services.
During the exhibition, Vizum highlighted its visual-guided robotic arm and face liveness detection technologies. The ViEye—Vizum’s stereo intelligent visual system—guided a robotic arm to quickly recognize and sort various blocks into designated zones with precision and consistency. Its stereo face liveness detection technology was able to instantly distinguish between a real person and a photo. The system’s innovative binocular algorithm ensures visual errors are kept under 1mm. Vizum’s advanced stereo intelligent vision technology drew widespread interest, with many visitors stopping by the booth to experience and inquire about the solutions firsthand.

Since its founding, Vizum has focused on machine vision, developing the ViEye system based on its self-developed stereo intelligent vision technology. ViEye is specifically designed for robots and mobile devices and has already been successfully applied to 3D face recognition, 3D gesture recognition, and robotic vision products.
Currently, ViEye is tailored for industrial applications in coordination with robots, primarily enabling 3D data acquisition and object recognition, and providing high-precision, quantifiable, and cognitive 3D data. In the future, ViEye’s capabilities will expand to include 3D scene reconstruction, 3D face recognition, and intelligent cognition, addressing needs such as mobile obstacle avoidance and environmental awareness.

For a long time, machine vision has been widely used in the industrial sector, significantly improving production quality and output by replacing manual processes. With the advent of Industry 4.0, both global powerhouses and industrial giants are urgently seeking to enhance the intelligence and automation of their production processes to build robust smart manufacturing capabilities. This has driven an increasing demand for higher levels of automation, intelligence, and precision in industrial applications. While traditional 2D vision systems struggle to provide spatial coordinate information, 3D binocular stereo vision can offer high-precision positioning and access to an object’s geometric structure. It is clear that stereo intelligent vision will become a core technology in the rapid evolution of industrial automation.
As a leader in stereo intelligent vision, Vizum will continue to leverage its independent innovation capabilities to advance the application of stereo vision technology in industrial robotics and the broader Industry 4.0 ecosystem, supporting the transformation and upgrade of smart manufacturing in China!
