On June 6, the 2024 China Humanoid Robot Developers Conference and the 3rd Zhangjiang Global Robotics Ecosystem Summit was grandly held at the Zhangjiang Science Hall in Pudong New District, Shanghai. This technological event attracted around 100 innovative companies in the humanoid robotics and embodied intelligence fields, along with over 1,500 industry experts and professionals. Vizum made a distinguished appearance, drawing widespread attention in the Shaanxi Robotics Exhibition Area with its latest generation humanoid robot, and showcasing a range of 3D industrial camera solutions in the core components zone, highlighting the company’s strong capabilities in intelligent technologies.

During the highlight of the conference, Vizum CEO Dr. Dong Xiaojian was honored to participate in the roundtable discussion titled “Humanoid Robot Industry Application Developers Dialogue.” Joined by five other industry leaders, Dr. Dong offered deep insights into the future trends of humanoid robotics and the increasingly vital role this technology will play in human production and daily life. This vibrant exchange of ideas demonstrated Vizum’s forward-thinking perspective and provided valuable direction for the industry’s development.

In the Shaanxi Robotics Exhibition Area, Vizum unveiled its flagship product — the second-generation humanoid robot “Xiaowei II.” This advanced robot integrates capabilities for autonomous mobility, learning, and cognition, enabling it to independently recognize, pick and place objects, and interact with humans across a range of operational scenarios. Equipped with Vizum’s self-developed joint servo motor drive units, Xiaowei II achieves seamless integration of motion control and vision cognition systems.

Xiaowei II features five core functions: advanced visual processing, natural voice interaction, efficient learning, agile locomotion, and precise manipulation. Whether in homes, hotels, shopping malls, or hospitals, Xiaowei II delivers comprehensive intelligent services, significantly enhancing the level of everyday automation and painting a vivid picture of a smart future.

The core components exhibition zone was undoubtedly one of the major highlights of the conference. From a macro perspective, it reflects a country’s independent R&D capabilities in humanoid robotics—capabilities that not only define national strength in this domain but also signal massive future market potential. To meet this challenge, Vizum introduced ViEye, a stereo vision system designed specifically for humanoid robots. With this cutting-edge system, Vizum has elevated its humanoid robot OS from “visual recognition” to “precision operation,” integrating 2D and 3D vision with robotic hand control. This comprehensive advancement solves the challenge of coordinated functioning among a robot’s “brain, eyes, and hands,” endowing robots with highly accurate perception and dramatically improving their effectiveness across diverse applications.

Beyond humanoid robotics, Vizum continues to invest heavily in 3D industrial vision. The company has developed a complete series of 3D industrial cameras and deployment systems—FH, MH, and HH—each tailored to meet the varied demands of different industries. These systems enable high-efficiency, high-precision operations, demonstrating Vizum’s firm commitment to advancing industry progress and driving technological innovation.
